Samsung Galaxy A15 5G, Galaxy A25 5G India Launch

Samsung introduced the Galaxy A25 5G and Galaxy A15 5G in Vietnam on December 11, and now, these smartphones are set to make their debut in India. The launch date for both A-series phones has been officially disclosed by Samsung. The Indian editions are expected to mirror the specifications of their Vietnamese counterparts, featuring Android 14-based One UI 6.0, Super AMOLED displays, and robust 5,000mAh batteries with 25W wired charging support.

In an official statement, the company revealed that the Galaxy A25 5G and Galaxy A15 5G are slated to be released in India on December 26 at 12:30 pm IST. The Indian version of the Galaxy A15 5G, positioned as the successor to the Galaxy A14 5G, will boast a 50-megapixel triple camera system equipped with Video Digital Image Stabilization (VDIS) support. This feature is designed to diminish blur and distortion in recorded videos. The Galaxy A15 5G will be available in various storage and RAM configurations.

As for the Galaxy A25 5G, it has been confirmed to showcase a vivid 120Hz Super AMOLED display and a triple rear camera setup headlined by a 50-megapixel sensor supported by optical image stabilization (OIS). Samsung asserts that this phone will come pre-loaded with AI-driven photo-editing features. Additionally, the Galaxy A25 5G is set to be powered by a 5nm chipset, as stated in a press release by Samsung.

Both the Galaxy A25 5G and Galaxy A15 5G are set to feature the Knox Security platform, strategically integrated at the chip level. This platform is designed to empower users with comprehensive control over their data, incorporating features such as Auto Blocker, Secure Folder, Privacy Dashboard, Samsung Passkey, among others, as highlighted in Samsung’s release. The inclusion of Knox Vault chipsets further enhances data security for these smartphones.

While the pricing details for the Galaxy A25 5G and Galaxy A15 5G in India are currently undisclosed, the Galaxy A25 5G is priced at VND 65,90,000 (approximately Rs. 22,500) in Vietnam, and the Galaxy A15 5G is listed at VND 62,90,000 (approximately Rs. 21,500). Both models will be available in a range of color options, including black, blue, light blue, and yellow.

The Galaxy A25 5G showcases a 6.5-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display, featuring an impressive 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1000 nits. On the other hand, the Galaxy A15 5G comes with a similarly sized display but with a slightly lower 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 800 nits.

Under the hood, the Galaxy A25 5G is powered by an in-house Exynos 1280 SoC paired with a Mali-G68 MP4 GPU, while the Galaxy A15 5G houses a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset. Both smartphones run on Android 14-based One UI 6.0.

Turning to the camera department, the Galaxy A25 5G boasts a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) support, accompanied by an 8-megapixel sensor featuring an ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. In comparison, the Galaxy A15 5G sports a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. Notably, both devices are equipped with a 13-megapixel front camera sensor.

Powering these smartphones are 5,000mAh batteries with 25W wired charging support. It’s worth noting that in the Vietnamese market, the phones are shipped without chargers included in the box.
